Our strategic planning process has over fifty years of expertise built into it from the consumer packaged goods industry.  It is the approach used by companies like Proctor and Gamble, Kraft General Foods and many other famous corporations.  Now you can use this same expertise to look deeply in the mirror in order to produce thorough, fact-based 3-5 year strategic plans that define a clear path for the growth of your business or business units. 

We offer this service via mentoring or collaborative consulting.  With mentoring, we guide your team who do the work themselves using our process.  With collaborative consulting, we facilitate your staff through the process so they will understand the reasoning for recommended strategies and emerge committed to making their new customer-focused strategic plan happen!

Our Customer-Driven Strategy Model is anchored in three phases that will develop your strategic plan for growth.   We begin by focusing your team on customer needs, the foundation for all successful businesses.  Customer needs operate in a predictable set of priorities and this is the key to pinpointing leverage points for growth.  Using proprietary as well as secondary research, we gather facts on industry trends, competitors and your own history.  This provides the foundation for your team to understand what really makes your business or not-for-profit a success!

In the second phase of our work together, we generate future-based planning options that are tied to specific numbers.  We don't believe in pie in the sky.  We use a sophisticated model that is customer-driven to generate customer penetration and frequency data that forecasts growth depending on the heaviness of the investments to achieve growth targets.  Growth is presented as worst case  - mid-case - and best case scenarios. Each of these includes revenue and investment figures that reveal profitability each year over three or five years.

In the final phase three, we create with you an organizational plan to ensure your staff has the capacity and the capability to implement the plan.  After thirty years of experience, we know that strategic plans are not worth the paper they are printed on if the organization cannot or will not implement the plan. Our competitive edge is once again, our collaborative approach.  We have a powerful team-building process in which your staff participate in identifying the obstacles and pinpointing the solutions needed to reach the next level of growth.  This is customized to meet your needs and can include the use of our sophisticated team responsibilities system called Role Driver.
